What Inspired Marie-José d’Astrée’s to write about the Empty Nest Syndrome

Marie-José was inspired to write this novel five years after her sons left home and after her research amongst women who were experiencing this Empty Nest Syndrome. Marie-José is a trainer and coach in an International organization in Geneva, Switzerland.  She is a literary translator from English and Spanish into French.  This book concerns all women that have had children and have put their lives on hold while educating them. When the children leave the nest, mothers may feel they are no longer desired or needed. How to cope? In this podcast, Marie-José d’Astree provides tips and strategies on how to overcome this situation and how to recognize the state of the empty nest syndrome. She has also written a book in French that is between fiction and a testimonial called “Le Nid Vide”, the “Empty Nest Syndrome”.
